It's Elle's 25th Anniversary as a premier publication dedicated to haute couture style and cultural memes.

Short film photographer Cater Smith created a video montage of interviews with an assorted variety of Elle worthy women circa 25 ans as a supplement for the October 2010 issue, which features four covers: Amanda Seyfried, Lauren Conrad, Megan Fox,  and Gabourey Sidibe. No comment as to to what criterion was used to determine who graces covers of milestone issues. And no.That sardonicism was not directed at Precious. Rude.

It's fine Elle. I'm not offended. I choose to believe my invitiation was lost in the mail. The Postal Service can be so sketch sometimes. So sketch.

Mila Kunis made me chuckle.
Melanie Fiona made me wish I could sing. #NowPlaying The Bridge, exercising my non-vocals. *jigs*
Bar Refaeli made me want to rock denim. Forever.
Janelle Monáe, Why so grave? I only wish she had more fun with it. Recently saw her perform at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia with of Montreal. Fabulous performer, I love. The fluidity of Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase) and The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III) is superb. But I hope she realizes that the common folk, for whom she wears B&W, know how to partay!
Twins, the well dressed twins channeled The Shining when they sang their macabre Soprano requiem ode.
Lea Michele is flashy! *Jazz Hands* in gold. And tiny! I'm surprised she didn't belt out a Streisand inspired "Happy Birthday". Rachel Berry would have. Totally.
Gabby Sidibe made me blush (not the good kind)... from SheIsDoingWayTooMuchAsInTheAbsoluteMost-isms. Le sigh.

Happy 25th Elle!

Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox, Gabourey Sidibe, Lauren Conrad. In that order.

I bought the LC cover issue (the Amanda Seyfried issue I wanted was nowhere to be found ::sad face::) and my mom thought she was Marsha Brady... haha!
