Snapped this arriving in Philly. Abbey Road redux.
Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I hightailed it out of NYC early Sunday morning after spending New Years Eve in Brooklyn. Returned to Philadelphia New Years Day to the Mummers Parade in full unadulterated swing. An unrequited "Day of Day-Drinking and Cheer." Hoda and Kathie Lee have zilch on these merry-goers.
"Here we stand before your door,
As we stood the year before;
Give us whiskey; give us gin,
Open the door and let us in.
Or give us something nice and hot
Like a steaming hot bowl of pepper pot!"-Old Timey Mummers
I bought a $7 zuzuzela, some over priced street meats, bummed a Four Loko from the tail-gators to my left, and partied with the best of them. Again. This is how we do in 2012. Non stop, won't stop, Can't Stop

In 2011 protesters couldn't stop, bipartisan ego wouldn't stop, and underground music was in rare form.

And then I do, more.
